STEIFF, Schwefelmännchen, was produced between 1933 and 1936 in 2 sizes, item number 125 and 114, all in all it were 2720 pieces produced, this item is caused by a mistake, Otto Steiff found on a sewing table a model of the Schwefelmännchen, he take pleasure in it and it was gone into production, but the model was not made by a Steiff designer it was made by the artist Charlotte Kirchhoff from Berlin, it was designed as mascot for a hotelier from Hindelang and this was the model for it, but the contract wasn't negotiated, because of the copyright violation the production was ceased and Steiff had to pay compensatory damages, 28 cm, with button and cloth tag label, without damage, number on cloth tag label 125
